MiniDSLAM
|
 |
ADSL services
can now be delivered to IP based/DLC- fed end-users with the
MiniDSLAM
SYSTEM
DESCRIPTIONS
The MiniDSLAM
remote digital subscriber multiplexer extends ADSL services
to remote end users. DS3 interface is available on MiniDSLAM
for connection to ATM switch, or E1-IMA interface for connection
to DLC system. The MiniDSLAM can be functioned either in small
central office or multi-tenant building/multi-dwelling units
(MTB/MDU). Up to 12 ADSL/POTS subscribers. The MiniDSLAM has
integrated POTS splitters built inside, enables the POTS services
to be routed to the existing DLC system. ADSL data is statistically
multiplexed for transport to an ATM switch or access concentrator.
The MiniDSLAM is optimized for outdoor use with the existing
DLC system and can be mounted in racks with ease. The MiniDSLAM
offers an ideal low cost solution for ADSL services. Also it
is Ethernet-based, MiniDSLAM is ideal for small Central Offices
and multi-dwelling units where routers and Ethernet switches
are often used to provide access to the data network. And since
MiniDSLAM uses 10/100 BaseT Ethernet as its entry point into
the backbone network, additional units can be easily added as
the number of ADSL subscribers grows, obviating the need for
a high-density DSLAM. .
