users by TOPDSLAM for Muti-Tenant Buildings and Multi-Dwelling
Units (MTB/MDU) Applications.
SYSTEM
DESCRIPTIONS
The TOPDSLAM
remote digital subscriber multiplexer extends ADSL services
to remote end users. STM-1 optical interface is available
on TOPDSLAM for connection to ATM switch, or E1-IMA interface
for connection to DLC system. The TOPDSLAM can be functioned
either in small central office or multi-tenant building/multi-dwelling
units (MTB/MDU). Up to 12 ADSL/POTS subscribers. The TOPDSLAM
has integrated POTS splitters built inside, enables the POTS
services to be routed to the existing DLC system. ADSL data
is statistically multiplexed for transport to an ATM switch
or access concentrator. The TOPDSLAM is optimized for outdoor
use with the existing DLC system and can be mounted in racks
with ease. The TOPDSLAM offers an ideal low cost solution
for ADSL services.

COMPATIBILITY
The TOPDSLAM
is fully interoperable with the existing DLC system and standard
on the market. It can be easily interfaced with wide variety
of ATM switches and access concentrators. The TOPDSLAM is
interoperable with CPE modems/routers from Alcatel and other
Alcatel compatible CPE.
