Description

The TAICOM TOPMUX 4800 is an E1 multiplexer system, which aggregates voice and data services into 4 or 8xE1 trunks. TOPMUX 4800 can be equipped with versatile service cards including RS232, V.35, 10/100 Base-T, 64K co-directional, ISDN, G.SHDSL, 2/4 wire E&M, FXS and FXO. The MCU (Multiple Control Unit) card module is embedded with switching fabric, control and management to support 64 Kbps or Nx64 Kbps time slot interchange or cross-connect function of the 4X E1 trunks, An optional 4xE1 card can be plugged to work with the MCU for supporting the switching capacities up to 8x E1 trunks.

The TOPMUX 4800 conducts local control and diagnostics by using the local craft and Ethernet ports, Incorporating with built-in SNMP agent (Web Telnet CID), the TOPMUX 4800 supports user friendly network management for Operation, Administration, Maintenance and Provision, Additionally, the TOPMUX 4800 has remote management capability, which allows one TOPMUX 4800 and its adjacent node to exchange management message over the in-band E1 timeslot..
